A series of three round-table events exploring aspects of repertory, distribution, correspondence and interpretation in relation to contemporary artists’ books and other printed formats.

1. ARCHIVES: Shelved?

Saturday 3 May, 1.30–4.30pm

The Board Room, Henry Moore Institute, Leeds

A discussion examining issues of acquisition, intention and and development of archives and collections, particularly in reference to artists books, objects and ephemera.

2. SOUND & VISION: interpreting the visual

Saturday 7 June, 1.30–4.30pm

The Board Room, Henry Moore Institute, Leeds

An exploration of the ways in which the visual becomes audible through the

interpretation the written, printed, drawn or manipulated page.

3. IMAGETEXT: modes of interpolation

Saturday 12 July, 1.30–4.30pm

A look at the relationship of imagery and text and how this can be used to create interference and subversion in its transmission and reception.
